The Most Anticipated Black Friday Sales for 2019
If you’re anything like us, you’re anxiously awaiting the one day a year when retailers drop their prices to their lowest yet. Black Friday 2019 promises to be bigger than ever and the sales typically begin earlier, even weeks before the big day. This is mostly due to the fact that this year’s Black Friday happens later than years prior, November 209th, making this holiday’s shopping season shorter than expected. The great news is that we’re already seeing what our favorite retailers are planning already.
Whether you’re looking for a new laptop, a phone, the latest gaming devices, or to make your home smarter, we’ve compiled the best deals to look for this Black Friday:
- Gaming deals
Last year, gaming consoles were hot sellers and we expect this year to be no different. Major retailers love to offer bundles that include a console and various games, making them fantastic deals. The Xbox One X will be celebrating its second birthday this November, so we’re expecting a few extra deals for this console. We’re excited to see the Xbox accessories to be deeply discounted as well, like gaming headsets with noise cancelling capabilities, steering wheels, and controllers.
The PS4 deals are bound to be crazy because the PS5 is expected to hit the shelves next year. We can’t help but expect major retailers, like Walmart, to offer the lowest discounts on this console and its bundles.
The Nintendo Switch Lite is going to be flying off the shelves this year, make no mistake about it. With this console being so new, we’re expecting bundles to come into play. It won’t be just about the hardware either, so if you’re after a carry case, extra Joy-Cons, and memory cards, this is one deal you won’t want to miss. Even better news is that the new PS5 will support backwards compatibility, so the games you buy this Black Friday will work on the new console. It’s practically too good to be true.
- Computer deals
Sorry back to school shopping, but Black Friday is the best time to purchase a new laptop. This year, we’re predicting that major retailers, like Best Buy, will continue to mark down 2018s MacBook Air price to be lower than ever, thanks in part to the arrival of a new 2019 model. Apple is having an October Event that will be showcasing new laptop models, which could mean even bigger discounts on older versions.
Last year, Samsung Chromebook 3 sold for a whopping $99 on Walmart’s website which lead to the laptop selling out in a matter of minutes. This year, this laptop is sure to be discounted even more than before and we can’t wait.
- Phone deals (iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro)
The recent release for Apple’s newest phones, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, we’re anticipating some great deals from major retailers, on all Apple phones, especially their older generation phones. Since Apple doesn’t typically offer Black Friday deals, we’re looking to other retailers, like Amazon and Walmart, for deals that include gift cards with purchase, like they did last year.
- Smart home deals (Echo Dot)
Prime Day is a distant memory and we’re setting our sights on Amazon’s Black Friday offerings. This year, Amazon introduced the new Echo Dot, a smart home device that packs decent sound and now has an LED clock that shines through its fabric. Amazon is known for slashing prices of its devices, especially the Echo speakers, and this year should be no different for the major retailer. This year, expect their Echo Buds, Amazon’s answer to Apple’sAirPods, to be deeply discounted as well.
It wouldn’t be a Black Friday article without mentioning Apple’s latest watch, the Apple Watch 5. We’ve already seen a few deals on the GPS-only model and, if we’re lucky, we might be able to snag the latest watch on sale this year. As with the release of any new Apple product,we expect older models to be deeply discounted as well.
