Everything about the application of eyeshadows
Everyone wants to look presentable and dreams for gorgeous, beautiful eyes. Women and men all over the world look for makeup ideas and techniques to help them look better.
The application of eye makeup, in general, is tougher than the others. With a wide range of products, like eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadows, etc, people find it tough to understand its usage. Once you continue to practice eye makeup it will seem easy and you will soon begin to experiment with different styles.
Application of Eyeshadow
- Before the application of actual eyeshadow, you need to understand the shape of your eyes. Accordingly, you need to choose the texture and shades of the eyeshadow. Once you learn about eye shapes, you will understand what techniques and styles of eyeshadows suit you best.
- The first step for application of eyeshadows is to prep your eyelids. Using an eye primer helps you achieve your desired look for a longer period of time. Additionally, it also makes your eyelids smoother so that the application process is much easier.
Alternatively, if you don’t have a primer, you can use a bit of foundation or concealer on the eyelids. This also helps conceal the skin that is dark around the eyes and makes you look fresher.
- Before beginning, remember to start using the application on the crease of your eyelid. This is the area where the eye socket of your skull dips in and is exactly above the eyeball. Doing this ensures depth and makes your eyes look brighter and more natural.
- With a fluffy brush, use a darker shade than your actual eyelid color and start blending the crease. Start blending it from the outer corner of the eye and then move towards the inner corners in a windshield wiping motion.Try to apply eyeshadows with a light hand so that it looks smooth and has no harsh or stark lines on the crease area. Do not overdo it as it could lead to an unnatural look and make your eyes seem too bold (unless that’s the look you’re going for).
- You can use a flat eyeshadow brush to apply your favorite shade on the eyelid. Once that’s done, you can use a medium-sized fluffy brush and blend both eyeshadows together. It is important to cover all the prominent and harsh edges and give it a smooth finish. Also, remember the color on the crease and the lid should compliment each other or belong to the same color palette.
- You can complete your eye makeup with a proper eyeliner and mascara. You can even use fake eyelashes if you like that bold look.
If you follow the proper procedures, you will definitely love using eyeshadows. Also, do not be scared to experiment with colors and different styles.
